ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Welcome to my website! I’m a writer, an educator, a historian, and a wannabe DJ! I was lucky enough to be a finalist for Pitch Perfect at the Bloody Scotland Crime Writing International Festival in 2018. This was an incredible event where I was able to pitch my story in Stirling, Scotland. I did not win but it is a story that I want to publish in the future. In 2019, my short story, ‘Whatever You Say, Say Nothing’ was shortlisted for the Fish Anthology Short Story Award. I also was lucky enough to be awarded honorable mention from Writers Digest in 2022 for my non fiction essay on Mr. William Dabney who participated in the D Day landing as an African American soldier and was awarded the Legion of Honor sixty-five years later. I am currently working on my first full length novel which is a thriller. When I’m not writing, I love catching up with shows on Neflix and I love music of all types. I also love sports and enjoy following my Virginia Tech Hokies, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Manchester United. I live in Salem, Virginia and I’ve been a Virginia boy my entire life.
